Altfrid M. Sicking

Altfrid M. Sicking is a german vibraphoneplayer. He studied classical drums and mallets and has performed in various opera and symphonic orchestras, has played theatermusics and has given numerous premieres as a soloist and with various ensembles for new music. At the same time he studied jazz vibraphone with Stefan Bauer and David Friedman and intensified his work on the Mallet instruments.

Today, Altfrid M. Sicking is one of the best-known vibraphone players in Germany and is on the road all year as a soloist in the 'Götz Alsmann Band´, with whom he is also featured on several TV shows. Altfrid M. Sicking also works as an author of Mallet Workshops for the magazine "drums & percussion" and is a teacher at the University of Münster and at the Musikhochschule Münster.
