Version 2.12 (updated: Apr. 7, 2010)

[New feature]

It is now possible to automatically disconnect the phone line when this unit detects the busy tone after the location using the phone line has ended the call.
For the details, please see the "Automatic disconnection feature" section on the page 2 of "Additional information".

[Change in specification]

When CoS is enabled on the QoS setting, the VLAN tags will be attached to the all packets including ARP, in addition to the SIP or RTP/RTCP packets which PJP-50R transmits.


Version 2.10 (updated: Mar. 26, 2009)

The NEC Premier IP Communications Server UNIVERGE SV8500 has been added to the SIP server which supports the NEC Mode.

  • The NEC Mode has been added.
    When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, it is now possible to hold and transfer a call.
    When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, select the NEC mode in "SIP Server Type".
  • The manual call function has been added.
    By setting the manual call function to "Enable", it is now possible to enter an address after pressing the connect key.
  • The telephone echo suppressor setting has been added.
    It is now possible to disable the echo suppressor function which activates in the beginning of a call.

  • The NEC mode has been added.
    When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, it is now possible to hold and transfer a call during it.
    When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, select the NEC mode in "SIP Server Type".
  • On-hook dial function has been added.
    By setting on-hook dial function to "Enable", it is now possible to enter an address after pressing the connect key.

  • Improved function: The quality of reproduced sound has been improved.
    The tuning of sounds output from the speakers has been improved.
  • Added function: Additional country codes are newly available.
    "Australia", "Korea" and "Taiwan" are now available as a country code. Along with this addition, some settings in "Line Mode" and "Hooking Time" have been changed.

NOTES

  • At the SV7000's "Terminal Classification" setting item, set the Projectphone to "TYPE1: Standard SIP Terminal".
  • When a Projectphone is associated with an SV7000, the Projectphone's multi-point connection function cannot be used.
  • An SV7000 VS-32 is required for multi-point connection.
  • The Projectphone's hold and forward functions cannot be used. (It is possible to accept holding and forwarding from other terminals.)
  • Calls using the Projectphone's IP call function cannot be made between a Projectphone that is associated with an SV7000 and one that is not associated.

Version 1.36 (updated: November. 26, 2007)

  • Added function: SIP Hold/Transfer function
    This function sets up a "held side" and "transferred side" to allow the PJP to receive transferred SIP calls (the PJP cannot hold or transfer calls itself).

[Change in specification]
  • The LCD screen display has been changed.
    It is now possible to detect the connection status of not only the LAN cable, but also of the PSTN (telephone line). Consequently, the LCD screen now displays the connection status.
    For details, see "Basic Operation" on page 7 of the owner's manual.
  • The default dial type setting has been changed to "Pb"
    The default dial type setting has been changed from "20PPS" to "Pb". Note that your current setting will not be changed when upgrading the firmware.

  • Default prefixes have been changed.
    The default settings for the telephone number, IP extension number (IP number), and address book number have been changed. Note that your current setting will not be changed when upgrading the firmware.

    There are new settings for the European states "EU1" and "EU2."

  • The method for changing the SIP address has changed.

Version 1.30 (updated: July. 18, 2007)

[Added function]
  • Effect sounds are now produced upon startup and when settings are changed.
    To adjust the echo canceller, an effect sound is now produced upon startup and when the "Speaker Mode", "Mic Mode" and "Room Size" settings are changed.
  • A settings saving function has been added. Three settings can now be saved.
    This makes it possible to immediately call out the most appropriate settings when the environment changes significantly due to the location of usage, for example.
  • A settings function for Japanese and Chinese telephone lines has been added.
    It is now possible to select the operation mode when the country code has been set to "Japan".

[Function change]
  • The function for protecting the settings by password has been changed.
    With the change in the specifications, it is now possible to protect not only the "Web Settings Page" but also the main unit key settings by password.
  • The telephone prefix setting function has been changed.
    The telephone's prefix can no longer be changed using the main unit keys. It can now only be changed from the web settings page.
  • The "Multi" speaker mode is now valid for cascade connections as well.
    The "Multi" mode is now valid for cascade connections as well, and the location sound separation function can now be used.

    Improved sound quality experienced during calls over standard (PSTN) phone lines.
  • Added function: Natural Voice Enhancer
    Improved audibility of voices by adding a high pass voice band to the PJP's sound.
    * Has no effect on voice input from audio terminals.
  • Added function: Push-button dial function available during IP communication
    Interactive voice response (IVR) services can now be operated using push-button dialing (DTMF signals).
  • Specification change: The default setting for external audio I/O has been changed from None to Audio.

Version 1.08 (updated: Jan. 19, 2007)

  • Improved sound quality: Echo canceller
    The processing power of the echo canceller has been increased.
  • Improved sound quality: Microphone pickup
    The sound quality of the microphone pickup has been improved.
    In conjunction with measures to improve sound quality, the default setting for the microphone amp has been lowered by -6dB. Please note that the volume level of calls will be lower after the revision upgrade. The volume can be restored to the level prior to the revision upgrade by raising it +6dB with the fine volume adjuster.
  • Added function: Phone number entry correction
    Users can now delete characters in a phone number entry one at a time by using the "▼" key.
    The "▼" symbol is now displayed in the number entry screen.

1. GRANT OF LICENSE AND COPYRIGHT

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Yamaha hereby grants you a non-transferable license to use copy(ies) of the software program(s) and data ("SOFTWARE") accompanying this Agreement, only on a computer, smartphone, musical instrument or equipment item that you yourself own or manage. The term SOFTWARE shall encompass any updates to the accompanying software and data. The SOFTWARE is owned by Yamaha and/or Yamaha's licensor(s), and is protected by relevant copyright laws and all applicable treaty provisions. While you are entitled to claim ownership of the storage media in which the SOFTWARE is stored and the data created with the use of SOFTWARE, the SOFTWARE will continue to be protected under relevant copyrights.

2. RESTRICTIONS

  • You may not engage in reverse engineering, disassembly, decompilation or otherwise deriving a source code form of the SOFTWARE by any method whatsoever.
  • You may not reproduce, modify, change, rent, lease, or distribute the SOFTWARE in whole or in part, or create derivative works of the SOFTWARE.
  • You may not electronically transmit the SOFTWARE from one computer to another or share the SOFTWARE in a network with other computers.
  • You may not use the SOFTWARE to distribute illegal data or data that violates public policy.
  • You may not initiate services based on the use of the SOFTWARE without permission by Yamaha Corporation.
  • You may not use the SOFTWARE in any manner that might infringe third party copyrighted material or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights, unless you have permission from the rightful owner of the material or you are otherwise legally entitled to use.
  • You may not engage in any act that are against the law, public order and morals.

Copyrighted data, including but not limited to MIDI data for songs, used by or obtained by means of the SOFTWARE, are subject to the following restrictions which you must observe.

  • Data received by means of the SOFTWARE may not be used for any commercial purposes without permission of the copyright owner.
  • Data received by means of the SOFTWARE may not be duplicated, transferred, or distributed, or played back or performed for listeners in public without permission of the copyright owner.
  • The encryption of data received by means of the SOFTWARE may not be removed nor may the electronic watermark be modified without permission of the copyright owner.

3. TERM

This Agreement becomes effective on the day that you agree with this Agreement and remains effective until terminated. If any copyright law or provision of this Agreement is violated, this Agreement shall terminate automatically and immediately without notice from Yamaha. Upon such termination, you must immediately abort using the SOFTWARE and destroy any accompanying written documents and all copies thereof.

4. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY ON SOFTWARE

YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT USE OF THE SOFTWARE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SOFTWARE AND RELATED DOCUMENTATION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS AGREEMENT, YAMAHA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AS TO THE SOFTWARE, EXPRESS, AND IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS. SPECIALLY, BUT WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, YAMAHA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT THE OPERATION OF THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS IN THE SOFTWARE WILL BE CORRECTED.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

EXCEPT WHEN THE DAMAGE INCURRED DUE TO ANY CAUSE ATTRIBUTABLE TO YAMAHA, YAMAHA'S ENTIRE OBLIGATION HEREUNDER SHALL BE TO PERMIT USE OF THE SOFTWARE UNDER THE TERMS HEREOF. EXCEPT WHEN THE DAMAGE INCURRED DUE TO ANY CAUSE ATTRIBUTABLE TO YAMAHA, IN NO EVENT SHALL YAMAHA BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EXPENSES, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF YAMAHA HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. EVEN IF YAMAHA IS LIABLE, EXCEPT IN CASE OF WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE BY YAMAHA, YAMAHA'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES AND CAUSES OF ACTION (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) SHALL BE LIMITED TO DIRECT OR GENERAL DAMAGES AND SHALL NOT INCLUDE INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, EXPENSES, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR OTHER DAMAGES, AND IN NO EVENT SHALL YAMAHA'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PRODUCT USED WITH THE SOFTWARE.

6. OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE

This SOFTWARE may include the software or its modifications which include any open source licenses, including but not limited to GNU General Public License or Lesser General Public License ("OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE"). Your use of OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE is subject to the license terms specified by each rights holder. If there is a conflict between the terms and conditions of this Agreement and each open source license, the open source license terms will prevail only where there is a conflict.

7. THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE AND SERVICE

Third party software, service and data ("THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE") may be attached to the SOFTWARE. IF, in the written materials or the electronic data accompanying the software, Yamaha identifies any software and data as THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE, you acknowledge and agree that you must abide by the terms of any agreement provided with the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE and that the party providing the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE is responsible for any warranty or liability related to or arising from the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE. Yamaha is not responsible in any way for the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE or your use thereof.

  • Yamaha provides no express warranties as to the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE. IN ADDITION, YAMAHA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, as to the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE.
  • Yamaha shall not provide you with any service or maintenance as to the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE.

Yamaha is not liable to you or any other person for any damages, including, without limitation, any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, expenses, lost profits, lost data or other damages arising out of the use, misuse or inability to use the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE.

U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS NOTICE:
The Software is a “commercial item,” as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. 2.101 (Oct 1995), consisting of “commercial computer software” and “commercial computer software documentation,” as such terms are used in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 (Sept 1995). Consistent with 48 C.F.R. 12.212 and 48 C.F.R. 227.7202-1 through 227.72024 (June 1995), all U.S. Government End Users shall acquire the Software with only those rights set forth herein.

8. CHANGE OR END OF SOFTWARE

  1. Yamaha may change the specification of the Software without notice to you.
  2. Yamaha may end the supply or support of the Software without notice to you when Yamaha determines that it is difficult to continue supply of the Software accompanied by the end of manufacturing or sales of the products or service applicable to Software.

9. AMENDMENT

  1. Yamaha may at its discretion amend, revise, or update this Agreement.
  2. When Yamaha amends, revises, or updates this Agreement, Yamaha obtains your consent to the updated terms of this Agreement, or Yamaha specifies the amendment contents and the effective date and posts them on Yamaha's Website within a reasonable period of time before the effective date.
  3. You may terminate this Agreement before the effective date in accordance with the way that Yamaha specifies if you don't agree with the amendment of this Agreement.

10. GENERAL

This Agreement shall be interpreted according to and governed by Japanese law without reference to principles of conflict of laws. Any dispute or procedure shall be heard before the Tokyo District Court in Japan. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any portion of this Agreement to be unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. All legal notices, notice of disputes and demands for arbitration, and any other notice which purports to change these provisions or to assert legal entitlements must be sent in writing to:

11. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to use of the SOFTWARE and any accompanying written materials and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, written or oral, regarding the subject matter of this Agreement.
